Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi.
So far a good responce to the thread. As I have already said there will be far more items to swap, sell and give away. I have now far too much stuff with items in the shed, loft & at work, so anyone coming should have empty boots! No one coming will be allowed to leave empty handed, and if they do will be reported on this very forum (so long as the mods shut their eyes) all joking aside there are some nice sets that really must go including Pre-War ones. This year will be better than the last time, I can't wait!

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
HI
Looks as if there will be a bigger turnout this year, with people from Aberdeen, Eginburgh, Glasgow, Ayr, Cumbria, Bolton & Geordie land. The more the merrier, anyone with troublesome sets should also bring them and get hands on repairs. Hopefully Steve_P will be fit enough to travel up it would be a great loss if he couldn't make it, one thing for sure he will be well looked after.

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi.
Well only one month to go! This years Swap will be huge in comparison to last year, I for one have loads to go from a Dansette record player, VHS films, 405 line tv's, Decca radiogram prewar stuff and ooodles more. Within the next two weeks I will need a rough count for the caterer (Anne) and to work out what space I need. And a timely reminder please can all people who are coming to leave their car boots open so I can offload my stuff later in the day See you all soon

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi
Just three weeks to go now, Anyone thats not been before please PM me for address and any other details required. Remember all are welcome from North to South and abroad (I wish!) I need of course numbers so there's enough food nor too much left overs! I am sure it will be a success and I am hoping for a good show of Pre-War Radio's & TV. Next year the meet will be done in a hall and more central, but that really depends on this years turn out. Anyone not too sure please just make the plunge and I will be ready from 9am to as late as you like. See you all soon

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Bother...This is the same day as a local classic car show which I always make a point of attending...Need to make a decision now! Had completely forgotten about that until I saw a poster for it this afternoon.
Is this something which is likely to be ongoing for a good portion of the day? Just wondering whether I could attend Fyvie in the morning, leave at 12 or 13:00 ish and still make it for a good portion of the swap meet? |

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi.
Some of the items I want to part with next Sunday will be some new and used CRT's, a Decca RG100 radiogram in need of resto', a prewar HMV radiogram, The Ambassador TV4 that came from Kitten-von-mew will also go (hopefully) its all sorted now and looks quite good. Theres a goodly amount of items now sitting in the gazebo with many spare parts and old chassis's too. So nobody needs to go away empty handed! I will also be trying out experimental stereo sound on 405 line TV, but no NTSC Colour this year as I haven't had the time to get the Decca chassis fixed. See you all in a week.

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi,
amongst my stuff I am bringing a few pre war wooden radios on a "no reasonable offer refused", basis. I have just too much stuff. Anyone wanting a project or bits for a project will get something. Also bringing my unique "rich dark chocolate cake"! (Ladies note one slice = half a stone on the waist line)! Paul. |

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Nice one Paul.
I know that I dont need any more stone on my waist It looks really like an international meet this time with the possibility of Frank_C coming from Rosscommon in the Iish Republic. Any other takers in the EU!!!
