Toshiba IC question
There is an amplifier under the passenger seat of my car, it has two Toshiba TA8210AHs on the output, only one channel was producing much output, and that was very quiet. I have replaced two (of the 60 or so) ELNA electrolytics that had failed, and I am replacing the TA8210,s with TA8210AHQ. I have looked at the data sheets but I can not see anything different from the TBA8210AH.Does anyone know the difference?
Its a Fugitsu-Ten made in '89 and I have no service information, If that doesn't fix it I'll have to put the sig. gen. on it and get the scope out, but making up the leads will be a pain. |

Re: Toshiba IC question
-AHQ is a later datasheet and gives soldering info for unleaded solder whereas there is no soldering info in the -AH datasheet.
I would guess that the only difference between the two types is what the legs are tinned with! And perhaps internal materials too. There would have to be some way to distinguish the older leaded part from the later unleaded one, hence the different part number suffix.
