Re: Dynatron Record Player.
Hi no unfortunately it won't, but it's completely sealed off with plastic anyway

Wish it was strips of cloth with a slit Frank, but no it's plastic underneath and sealed off completely. Looks like I will probably have to try take it out of the cabinet then? |

Re: Dynatron Record Player.
Could I make a little hole in the plastic strip where the knob is so I can get the nozzle of my servisol 10 down and spray down into the slider pots?

Re: Dynatron Record Player.
Reasonable question, not sure how much damage could be caused though.

Re: Dynatron Record Player.
Hi all just an update, I managed to wedge a little needle into the plastic strips making a tiny gap for the servisol to soak down into, did this with each of the slider knobs for volume etc left it for a bit, then turned on, and hey presto, no more crackles or hissing or drops in volume, and everything works as.it should, bass treble etc. Thanks again guys for all your info, didn't have a clue beforehand!

Re: Dynatron Record Player.
Does the plastic strip still cover the track with the knob at the extreme limits of travel?
I'd say making a hole in the strip is fraught with danger. You may damage the track or slider and debris from the drilling or piercing operation with enter the pot and could cause problems.

Re: Dynatron Record Player.
Thank you Graham and Frank, much appreciated all the info, I've owned a couple of vintage players before but never had one before with a problem so it was good to get some advice on how to solve the problem as it sounded pretty dire before and I thought I bought a dud!
