The Electronics Hub in Southampton https://www.the-electronics-hub.co.uk/ was opened in 2019 by two guys who used to work for Maplin. They sell all sorts of stuff including a range of frequently used electronic components.

I was told a few weeks ago that Birketts is being run by his daughter, don't know the opening times though.
