Default Roberts R606 radio help.

Hi everyone.

I bought a Roberts radio R606 a couple of years ago on the internet and it was working perfectly up until it fell off a relatively low table onto a carpet and now when I turn it on it just emits a thumping noise like a beating heart.

As I'm not familiar with radios, vintage or modern, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

There's nothing simple that you can do. All sorts of damage may have resulted, including a broken printed circuit board with separated tracks. If you don't have any expertise at all, you can only pay somebody to look at it, or sell it on as not working and buy another one. There are plenty of them around at reasonable prices. It's possible that a forum member may have one to sell if you ask in the appropriate section: https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...splay.php?f=28
