Trunking possible too large in section. Floor edging sounds interesting, I thought tile edging but couldn't find a suitable section.

I've used very small clip on cover white PVC trunking that's about the right size and depth. It was to hide coax and later Cat5 quad twisted pair cable for LAN or phone.

It doesn't have to look exactly like the original, covering the edge with an overlap will work?

I have still to try warming it up and stretching it a bit, possibly doomed to failure.
