Default Philips Television Tuners

Pieter Hooijmans, well known from his website about Philips TV tuners and Philips TV history, has published the first book about Philips TV tuner history:
Philips Television Tuners - Volume 1 - 1950-1980

The book is beautifully produced and has 278 pages.

Pieter has collected a tremendous amount of information from many sources and has brought it together in a very clear manner.
The book includes more than the articles on the website. This includes technical explanations about many aspects of TV tuners, again in a way that is easy for everyone to follow. This is then indicated in separate blocks, which can of course also easily be skipped.
Remote controls and antenna amplifiers/distribution have also been added.

The book contains a lot of inside information that cannot be found anywhere else and is packed with photos, diagrams and overviews.

This book is highly recommended and can be ordered from Pieter, or directly from the printer:

from the printer: https://www.lulu.com/shop/pieter-hoo...e=1&pageSize=4

Pieter has also planned part 2 (1980-2000) and part 3 (2000-2015), as well as 'Philips Television 1935-1960'.

For the sake of completeness, also Pieter's technology website:
