Golborne (Manchester) Swapmeet 29 Oct

Just a reminder - Sunday 29th October is the BVWS swapmeet at Golborne, just west of Manchester.

If you'd like a stall there are still a few spaces available, contact organiser Mark Ryding to book.
You can download a stallholders booking form via the BVWS website, visitors pay at the door on the day.

Doors open at 10 (stall holders 9.30). The usual variety of stalls selling vintage Radio, Television, Audio, Communications receivers, Test gear, Valves, Components, Spares, etc. Ample free parking. The BVWS stall will be there selling the usual range of capacitors, Deoxit, etc.

And the kitchen will be open serving drinks and hot and cold butties!

If you have one or two items you'd like to sell, the 'Bring and Buy' stall is where you can sell them at 10% commission or donation to the BVW&TV Museum. (But before you leave, please take any unsold items home, including donated items - we were left with a car load of junk to dispose of last time..)

The stores are bursting at the seams again, so there'll be a huge variety of bargains overflowing from the BVWS table, everything must go!

If you're not a BVWS member, why not come along for a sample visit? You'll be made most welcome and you can even take the plunge and join on the day if you like what you see! Credit/debit card payments taken at the BVWS stall.

Hi All,

The start time for this event has been brought in line with all other BVWS events.

The entry and event start time is now 9:30AM

Stall holders entry is from 9:00AM onwards.

Admission is £5 on the door.

Please refer to page 4 of the last BVWS Bulletin or the website for further details.

The usual BVWS tables will be loaded to breaking point full of bargains and all the useful bits and pieces you need but just don't know it yet!

The BVWS high voltage electrolytic and polypropylene Capacitor stock will also be on sale as usual.

An excellent day out! Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen twice a year and, as always, thanks to all the people who took the time to come over and talk to me.

I came away with everything I was looking for, plus another portable valve radio and a very clean Fidelity record player - so many bargains!

Hope to see you all again in the spring...

Thanks to all those that help set up and attend this event. Great to meet up with fellow enthusiasts. I did come away with something a bit modern but in mint condition with a strange CRT!

As mentioned above I've been too busy to come along, but it's good to hear you all had a good time.

I was packing up my audio / visual equipment no mean feat because I had to untangle the "black spaghetti" behind my TV.
