The N2220 is a portable mains/battery cassette recorder.
I have been studying the schematic trying to see the battery connections but unless I am going blind or stupid which maybe possible ![]() The schematic has a note saying "the 9V DC supply is connected between earth and pin 2 of SK6, and the link shown removed". SK6 is a switch which is connected at the output side of the DC power supply rail produced from the mains input and rectifier circuitry. I assume SK6 is a switch in the mains plug which opens when the mains cable is plugged in to isolate the batteries. It looks like the batteries should connect in that SK6 connection but why are they not shown, there is no actual link (removable) shown, just a solid connection going down to earth. Am I missing something ? The schematic I am looking at is the ERT Service Chart from the Forum Downloads. David Last edited by DMcMahon; 14th Nov 2023 at 12:47 pm. Reason: typo error corrected |

Thankyou Nick, I was thinking of checking other N2220 manuals.
Strange that not shown on the ERT schematic. David |
