Default 'Southern' at AEC Rally

Well, after two years, 'Southern' is back on the rally scene. For those that know the story, it's been a nightmare, but it's time to move on and lay some ghosts. We need to prove that we can do this rally and come home without a disaster!

The incident was in no way our fault (0% liability - akin to a jumper off of a bridge), but that doesn't help much when there's been so many issues and problems. Plus, of course, the sadness over the pointless death of the 26 year old young woman pillion passenger.

Attached is something approximating a press release - we hope that all goes well and that we can welcome a lot of interested people on board!

Best regards,

Paul M

We did it!

After a really, really wet and horrible Saturday, Sunday was the ticket. Weather good, show good and everything worked a treat! The MkVII cameras, all the monitors, tape decks, mixers, DAs and everything else worked without a single fault.

Then, unlike 2 years ago, we made it home safely. Journey finally completed, leaving some flowers on the spot where it all happened.

We can now all - finally - move on. Yorks - Tyne Tees and 'Project Vivat' can now have some time voted to them again!

Cheers,

Paul M

Congratulations and many happy "returns".

Is that camera in the picture actually rainproof? It looks like it might be.

Thanks, Chris, it's been a long haul.

The cameras are 'shower proof', but the torrential rain on Saturday needed the camera covers. They are pictured here at: http://mapgrouproadtransport.co.uk/p...E86D#h2b99e86d

Cheers,

Paul M
