Re: 1154/1155 pair
Plenty of websites on restoration etc for the T1154 and R1155.A quick google will reveal all.
Almost think they may be links on this forum too. Yes,please post any pictures always welcome. My biggest error years ago was not buying (£80) a T1154 that looked unused.

Re: 1154/1155 pair
Yes I've seen lots of the websites Thankfully I have received a lot of paperwork with my set and its proved its weight in gold...
I'm very impressed at the sheer simplicity of the transmitter circuit and the simple operation it then gives. D |

Re: 1154/1155 pair
Hello David,
I am one of those who prefer CW as well, but to hear a T1154 on CW in UK is very rare. When you are ready for a QSO let me know and I'll warm mine up. The chirp and drift is a pleasure to hear, though some "youngsters" will give a 575 rather than a 579C. On my QRZ page I have a recording by an EA of my T1154. On first tests I immediately found you need thick wire to the key to operate the big relay. I wired up so that the relay is permanently energised and the bias is quietly keyed, as described in the manual for ground operation. An easy switch to dummy load for netting and tuning up is rather essential these days. 73, Andrew |

Re: 1154/1155 pair
Alan Morriss, G4GEN, used to run a regular CW net around 3580kHz on Sunday mornings using his T1154/R1155. No idea whether he still does, but you might take a listen.

Re: 1154/1155 pair
I'm not sure what that means really. I was absolutely delighted to have the 1155 1154 pair here. I had started work on putting the 40m mods back (or out, take your pick ) and was working through the manual on the 20m lack of RF
My personal circumstances changed overnight. If you search around you'll find that I have pretty much the entire contents of my shack for sale. My life's accumulated radio amateur gear is on eBay and I am both very angry and very sad. Losing the 55/54 was heartbreaking for me. These things happen. Worse things happen too. I'm still healthy. I appreciated the help from here and I genuinely thought I'd have that set for the rest of my days. D |

Re: 1154/1155 pair
David,
Well, don't worry too much. Once you have your personal life back on track, it won't be hard to find another T1154/R1155. It's not as though they are at all rare. There is a constant stream of the things on EBay. Richard |

Funny how things go...
By a variety of circumstances you couldn't make up the 1154/55 pairing is back in my hands.
Now begins the long slog of returning the to to proper working. And possibly returning the rx to better standards. David |

1154 project
Well my 1154/1155 pair have been working well. School holidays rather stopped play but all is fine now...almost
Whereas my set would tx fine on 3.56 mhz I find it now wants to radiate on 2.56 instead. And it's pretty unstable at that! I'm thinking capacitors might have finally gone, or resistors. Either way I think it's time to start measuring things inside. Pity really as I was enjoying using it. David |
