Revox B215 cassette deck.
This machine has come in because after a few minutes of playing, it stops. The fault is with the take up motor/spool.
Has anyone got experience of this? I understood there may have been a modification kit to fix this fault, does anyone know anything about it? |

Re: Revox B215 cassette deck.
There is a site:
http://www.alexandrugroza.ro/vintage...215/index.html The site owner is dealing in depth with the restoration of a Revox B215, very interesting indeed! Read through, it may help you a lot.

Re: Revox B215 cassette deck.
No experience with this or the Studer. I've had direct drive DC reel motors go weak/intermittent due to lack of use and subsequent tarnishing of the commutator, if these motors are that type. Also a vague recollection of reading of motor magnets becoming weakened after demagnetizing the tape path.
