Trio 9R-59D. Adding a frequency counter?
Split from this thread:-
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=179987 Has anyone added a digital frequency readout to their 9R-59D? If so do you have a schematic? I have a suitable freq counter (from eBay). I already use a similar counter with my Drake R-4B. Malcolm G4TJK |

Connect it to the VFO but put in a IF offset.

Sometimes it's better if you don't know! My 59DS drifted like the Seven Bells of Hades, especially above 7 MHz. You'd get dizzy watching the numbers flying past.
