Waxies are horrible stick yellowish brown things and I can't see any in the pictures attached to post #1.
The documents in post #18 mention tubular paper capacitors, which I've always found to be very reliable. I can see no mention of waxed paper capacitors. The Plessey black. yellow and red caps are going to be your main problem.
