Obsolete battery data
Like many here, I suspect, I have a number of devices that use batteries that are no longer made.
Does anyone have any (accurate) sources of information on obsolete cells/batteries. Things like Dimensions Voltage Connections (base/cap, terminals, brass strips, socket (pinout)) So fair I've got a trader sheet that gives some, the back pages of one volume of R&TVS, a couple of Home Radio catalogues and a page from a book on radio control (it would appear). These do not always agree, and together they are certainly not complete. Were there battery manufacturer's catalogues listing their products ? (I assume so). Have any survived? I am most interested in the batteries for portable valve radios, but of course information on torch batteries, transistor radio batteries, etc, etc, etc would be interesting. |

Re: Obsolete battery data
Thanks for those sites. I've looked at them, and alas, there are sizes of batteries that I have used that do not appear on any of them.
I think what I need are some old (going back to at least the 1950s) battery catalogues, if any have survived. |

Re: Obsolete battery data
I think this site might have the same battery info as Alistair's broken link:
