On a safety note there is another reason not to run this thing with the covers off. Apart from the usual shock hazards there is a huge exposed mains fan running next to the PA section and this looks like a buzzsaw. I don't know how much grunt it has but it is going to hurt (probably a lot) if you poked a finger into the fan area. This could easily happen if you tried to lift or move the unit and your fingertips crept into the fan area. It really does look like a beast of a fan and the big blades are totally exposed.

Definitely something to be wary of...
