Yes interesting. I've watched a few of his and enjoyed them. I admire anyone who repairs stuff with surface mount. Sadly, that is well over my temper threshold. The one I really liked was that ridiculously over-engineered pre-amplifier.

One thing he does which make me wince, is to tap out a thread with the tap driven by a hand-held power drill. OK, he might have a very steady hand, but the tap is easily broken by the method and it can be a complete pain to remove the bit left in the hole!
