Default Source of 'genuine' semiconductors?

I recently had to find some obscure power transistors for an AV amplifier. I ended up taking a risk and ordering from this company:
https://alltroniccomputer.com.sg
When they arrived they were checked on a curve-tracer and proved to be genuine parts. They seem to specialise in NOS or similar. Prices are attractive: £9 airmail delivery.

Thanks for finding that - saved in favourites having browsed their semiconductor inventory.

Yes, looks good - now all we need is a similar source for 1970s / 1980s HF RF output transistors (2SC1909, 2SC2078, 2SC1969), plus the MRFs....

Smashing, thanks John, looks a cracking source of Q's. £9 shipping, is that post & packing & how long did it take? I've had some nightmares where parcels took months to clear customs.

Andy.

Hi Andy: P&P was £9 and I can't remember how long it took, but it wasn't as much as a month. Order value would have been under the VAT threshold.

Just out of curiosity I put 2N3055 in their search field and it came up with nothing. Do they really have none?

Be aware that I've already spotted a few pictures of fake Sanken transistors. It may just be the pictures are of fakes and what you get may be authentic.

To clarify, it was the MT 200 package power transistors that I spotted. Obvious from the print not being perfectly straight. I had a set pass through, tested OK on a transistor tester, failed immediately any significant power was applied.
Breaking open the casing revealed a blob of silicon sealant glueing a unknown transistor die to the heatsink.
I contacted Sanken directly and spoke to an advisor who mentioned the print should be perfectly straight.
