For anyone using a satnav, WA3 3HG will get you there. The stream of blokes carrying handfuls of radios to their cars is a big clue.

Great fun - nice to meet you all again!

Thanks to everyone who bought something from my Christian Aid stall. More in the pot for people suffering for ridiculous (in this day and age) reasons, and more space in my attic for the next mighty vomit of tax-payer-funded equipment slung out by my mindless employer. Bring it on

Agreed, great fun!

Thanks as always go to the organisers and all the stallholders for travelling with loaded vans and car boots to help me in my hobby.

Nice to meet all the regulars and a couple of new faces.

Thanks also to Keith for the entertaining and informative talk on diodes.

See you all in November.

Although the talk was slightly delayed due to the room being used to store the left over decorations for an anniversary party the previous night which needed moving, the talk went ahead.

I've attached the notes for the talk which is part 1 covering an introduction to diodes and rectifiers. At the next Golborne meet in November I'll give part 2 covering transistors and integrated circuits.

I understand the anniversary was a diamond wedding - which would explain the diamonds I found strewn around (unfortunately made of plastic!)

I too found it good to put one or two new faces to forum names. The only trouble is, being basically face-blind, I doubt I'll recognise them again next time I meet them!

Thanks to everyone who supported the Bring and Buy stall. The proceeds from a majority of the items brought were donated to Society funds, which (along with the 10% commission from items sold on that basis) meant the stall raised a total of £92.50 to support the work of the Radio and Television Museum in Dulwich. I don't keep records from one event to the next (so may be wrong), but I think this was the best result I've had since I started running the stall. Thank you also to everyone for taking back any unsold items - which I also greatly appreciate, having nowhere to store any abandoned items.

Oh, and I also went away with a few new toys to play with!
