Carlos,

It is a means of adjusting the beat note (heterodyne tone) heard in CW but not affecting the netting of the transmitter. It's real function is to adjust the audio frequency to that of the twin-tee peak filter which is switched in in the CW position. It is a reactance circuit. The control is R14A.
