i. too used to listen to the 'Happy Station' from Hilversum on one of two home-built radios, the first a PW-published two-valve reflex design called the 'Denette' (June 1967 issue of PW, IIRC), the second a multi-band Rx using Denco Plug-in Coils and OC170 (AF117) transistors dating from the early 70s, I have somewhere one of those 'Happy Station' Calendars from either the late 60s or early 70s, and fond memories of listening to Eddie Starz, and his successor whose name escapes me now.
