Hi Edward,
I usually have Caroline on from 9.00 am until about midnight most days (I don't have a TV; only 405 line ones!!) The music and lack of talking, adverts, news etc suits my listening requirements exactly
They mentioned a week or so ago that a new transmitter was 'on order'. I imagine that Ofcom would not let them use the 50KW one on reduced power- they probably don't trust them to keep it on low power!!
I don't know where the transmitter site will be- certainly not on the boat in the Blackwater estuary! They will, however, be broadcasting some programs from the 'Ross'.
As far as I know, there has been no announcement as to when broadcasts or tests will start.
If I hear anything further, I'll let everyone know.
Cheers
Nick
