The only D&S sockets I have ever seen in use were in the early 1980s in a part of Abingdon that was then in Oxfordshire, but was in Berkshire when those pre-fabs were built.
The house I had a room in in 1994 in Stockport had Wylex "Ring Main" sockets (made in Wythenshawe about 8 miles away.)
