Although not the 30's, a very dear friend of mine, and my electronics tutor from about age 11 to 17, was recently shuffled into an old folks home. I was given free range in the "shed".
Most of the "good" stuff had already gone, with chassis depleted of valves, "for geetar he said"!! :-0
I wonder how well a converter or mixer valve does in a mudguard, er I mean Fender?
