Thanks Mark, I have removed the BOI main smoothing block for restuffing & also some odd bodges which were obvious, mine has not seen mains for over 50 years but fortunately has been stored in a dry attic. The TRF circuit is indeed simple, & I will post a picture when the correct components are back in.
