Yes Bobbyball we have spent many an hour replacing tape in N1700, Beta and V2000 cassettes haven't we?! And yes, the results are nothing short of stunning. The difference is easily as good as if comparing a pristine condition top of the line machine with an early generation one in bad condition (of any format). It's a shame that such high grade tape formulations were not available while those formats were still current.
