Unfortunately the deck in the VC-M211, etc. isnot the same as that in the VC-M305 is marked 83VI (Sept. 2002). Whilst the principle is the same, the 'devil is in the detail' as they say, and I cannot work out how to refit the cam gear correctly. No matter how I try, with the deck in the 'tape ejected' position, I cannot find a point on the cam gear's rotation which allows it to locate correctly. My own fault, I know. I should have taken a picture before removing the gear.
