With the frequency range of the receiver, it had to have been first sold in the London coverage area, so you seem to have solved how it wound up in Cornwall. I guess you still need to find that antique dealer's name to get his father's name and then search London records.

There were reports of a viewer in Minehead receiving the AP broadcasts before the war so my set may have actually been used out West.
