Default Identify the phone....

This is a still from the soundtrack to "The Days of Pearly Spencer" by David McWilliams, from 1967.

Played a lot on the pirate stations of the era, thanks to Ronan O'Rahilly.

Allegedly, McWilliams couldn't make it to the studio to do the vocals so he called-in from a phone - which gave the recording its distinctive, haunting sound.

Whatever, I don't recognise the phone. The full video - if it helps identification - is here:
