I enjoyed my day thoroughly
and it was a joy to meet many of the hard working people who do so much to make the event a success: Jeremy/Jeffrey and colleagues on Bring'n'Buy; Mike ('Lump-Hammer-for-Unauctioned-Lots') Barker; Vic and his refreshments team (many thanks for the instant line of credit i.e. £1 interest-free overdraft while I went and got some change!) ...

Interesting impromptu chats re. 'Meteor' frequency counters, 'Knickebein', the 'Bruneval Raid', Hedy Lamarr's scientific activities, test gear, broadcast ....
