Hi. I have a Philips 470A (1938) valve radio that I would like to sort a small problem out with regards to poor scale illumination. I believe that the scale backing reflector plate could do with some cleaning up due to tarnishing.

In order to access this, the drivecord requires removal, but looks awkward to refit (not shown in Philips or Trader s.sheets!). Does anyone have details of wire drive cord diagram from the restoration of their set?

It looks simple enough, but knowing Philips it can be tricky!
