I can't remember the Austin A30 or A35 having wind-up windows.
They had a balanced drop-glass, worked by an oblong glass 'handle', glued to the top of the glass.
It used to fall off, and an after-market S shaped handle was produced ( by Barnacle, I think) to replace it.
You had to remember to lock the window by pushing the inside handle forwards, before you got out. The door key only locked the door handle, not the window.
