I still feel very bitter about the avoidable loss of life that occurred.
The pilot did a fantastic job dropping the plane into such a tiny space, avoiding the police station and further on the hospital. He knocked the chimney pots off the row of terraced houses immediately before the crash site. The plane was almost intact apart from breaking its back. No one on the ground was injured.
All because a fuel valve was neither fully one way or the other.
