We had those at school outside the Headmaster's office, although I never remember them being used. They fascinated me, nonetheless! Three vertically-mounted indicator discs with lamps behind in a rectangular surface-mounted box.

When I was a kid the doc had an annunciator panel in the waiting room with wagging flags and bell, which 'sowed the seeds' as it were... I couldn't wait to have to go to the doctor so I could gaze at it!
