Don't know about military use bit its. QP21 or 240QP in Cossor coding and certainly Cossor used in at least two models the 485 and the 583 as a QPP output valve it gave higher power output for less average HT consumption at the expense of higher LT consumption. Very commonly used by many manufacturers of battery sets in the late 1930s
