We used to get some of the aeronautical ones in for repair occasionally, and they also had the rotating probes; think of a pair of those hand operated pcb drills with a corkscrew, so as you push down the tip rotates and bites into the surface.
The ones I saw had 'gone digital' with early gas discharge starburst displays and cotton-covered twisted leads. They were made by former Westland subsidiary Normalair Garrett (pressurised cabin pioneers and instrument manufacturers) who are now part of Honeywell.
They were familiarly known as 'ducters'.
