Started with fixing TV's videos and audio stuff for extra pocket money and collected whatever parts came my way free from clear outs at work, cheap packs round the radio rallies and retirement clear outs. New parts from CPC and the like, now 30 years later have half a garage full of discrete parts from the 30's to the 90's enough for most of my needs. Just buy 1000V caps as I need them and a few other odds as and when.
