That AR88 was a *Proper* radio, though it was an example that was going to take major work to get it going. I think Colin would have taken a low price rather than cart it home

The Hacker Herald I bought produced the odd tump and crackle, but no radio stations. However, after a weekend bumping around in the back of the car, it's sprung to life. Sounds superb, but it's got those lockfit transistors staring at me... I know I've got to do them...

Cameron any proper club will be so pleased to see a new member that they'll lend you gear to get you on the air.
