Yup. Replaced and, definitely wired +ve to ground. As far as I'm aware, nobody has ever adjusted anything in the I.F. since it was purchased.

In your experience, do you feel it's something that does occasionally drift out of alignment, or is it more likely to be associated component failure/out of tolerance?
