Only fault I recall on 70’s Toshiba TV’s was poor soldered joints on PCB feed throughs. Caused many different faults but an easy fix. This was 40 odd years ago though so anything could be the cause now.

There were probably other faults but it’s too long since to remember them. They were a reliable TV.
