Ooh! Be aware that some of the old pigments used in various shades of 'parlour green' paint and some wallpapers were based on arsenic compounds! If you do any refurb-work on old houses where green distemper is present then you need to be aware of the risk.
[Arsenic-based dyes and additives were also used in the manufacture of felt: hatmakers ingested enough of this from handling the felt to cause neurological disturbance - hence 'mad as a hatter']
