Thanks for the update on the keyboard that's useful to know. From my previous research the MCP5000 circuit architecture is very different and in Many is more complicated. I think it uses a 8051 which was my first ever microcontroller that I used. I seem to think it does something funky with what looks like the keyboard col and row driving through a separate ROM. I couldn't quite figure out what this was doing ?
