I think these were made by GL Good Listening and were being researched by Alan Stepney before he passed on.

I gave an example to Alan mains Octal based beast.

Inside there nicely built but as Paul says it's normal for the escucheon and knobs to end up in this mess.

Alan was interested because they were built I think Ringwood certainly the Poole area.
