Default Re: AVO Multimeter survey

Remarkable... in 1937 a skilled worker would have been on a wage of less than £3 per week. Based on wages alone, £15 is equivalent to over £1,000 in today's money.

But Andy I'm wondering if you're confusing the Universal Avominor with the Universal Avometer, the model 7, which was released in around 1936 at about 15 Guineas? The reason I ask is because I have an original old but undated Universal AvoMinor cardboard box, on which the price of £5 is printed. I doubt that anyone would have paid £15 for an AvoMinor when its full-sized cousin was available at the same price.
