Thanks guys your absouluty right there is no need to unscrew it the back just slips straight over it phew glad I did not try forcing it off would have broken it as I did with a previous one.
Just wired it up and is working fine although I do not like those plastic cogs fly wheels lots of them not sure what there called. I have an older model the marbled effect one pic attached which I've refurbed but the coil was OC and couple of the plastic cogs flywheel teeth had deteriorated and one broke in half so I can use this one as spares hopefully although there are only two plastic ones in this model the rest are brass as opposed to the one working which seems to have majority plastic.
The reading resistance on this coil/solenoid is 7.9k ohms I assume that's about right for this model? Or is that abit high?
