iI also have another Sanyo G-2601 with the 2 speed single play deck, these seem to be more common than the ones fitted with BSR changers.

Mine is fitted with a strange unmarked low output ceramic cartridge with a really soft and compliant rubber cantilever saddle, this cartridge is mechanically similar to a regular BSR SX5 cartridge, but it's obviously not an original BSR part.

One thing iI don't like with the Sanyo decks is that you need to manually disengage the idler wheel after each use by putting the speed selector knob in the "off" position. The problem is, few people actually did that and so these decks are almost always found with dented idler wheels today.

The BSR decks automatically disengage the idler wheel whenever the function lever is in the off position instead.
