The lamp is a #47, brown bead 6.3 v 150ma. You can also use a #44, blue bead, 6.3v 300ma. It uses a shunt resistor instead of a tap on the rectifier valve.
It looks, by the pictures, that it was restored recently.
When you get the step-down transformer, try it again. Because of the heater connection scheme, it doesn't need the dial lamp to work.
