Here in Harrow, we could purchase for next to nothing TV's Radio HiFi etc. etc. at the local recycling centre. My Beomaster 8000, 8002 turntable complete with MCC2 cartridge, Colour TV's and whatever took my fancy were all bought for a fiver or less.

During a summer holiday, the stuff was piled so high, I was banned from going down there.

Then a fight took place over the brown envelope passed down the chain of command. It all stopped.

Although to be honest I could no longer lift a 22" CRT colour TV, all I can do now is look into a skip to see what could have been mine!
