Yeah, it might be a problem finding a suitable Baud rate. I think the Mk14 cassette interface uses a threshold of 16 millisec (or thereabouts) to distinguish short pulses from long. So long as the chosen Baud rate can meet this I think there's a good chance it'll work. 300 looks like a good choice: 3.3 millisec shortest pulse, 30 millisec longest. 33 millisec bit period.
