I can't give any exact figures for the various Telcos and they may vary from exchange to exchange depending on who manufactured the exchange equipment.

Detecting dial pulses electronically is much more difficult than doing it electro-mechanically and of course it never was intended that they'd need to be detected electronically.

You may find that having the correct mark/space ratio is just as important as having the correct speed.
